The CRTC is a puppet organization, clearly serving the whims and Fancy's of Canada's largest Telecom Providers.
The CEO of the CRTC, a twitchy, nervous little man named Konrad von Finckenstein has decided without contacting or talking to the Canadian public to levy surcharges onto us, the Canadian for overages.
I already pay a premium service for Internet connectivity, and with this ruling it would reduce my caps and make me pay more. Why?
Because Bell wants that.
It is well documented that the executive team of the CRTC are friends of the Bell and Rogers Camp. They are made up of ex-executives.
This backhanded bullshit spits in the face of every Canadian out there.
Why?
Are Bell's servers crashing left right and center? Are Canadians using too much bandwidth? Is the infrastructure unable to keep up with technology?
Nope. Just an easy cash grab.
The world is moving to online streaming of content. The CRTC is a dinosaur and needs a radical change.
If Canada is to be part of the Global Conversation, we can't have our voices silenced once we hit the virtual word count limit.
Even our politicians are telling the government body of the CRTC to reverse this decision. Are we a nation run by Bureaucrats?
